Anyone want to play an RPG here on the Zone Boards? I personally like medieval fantasy style myself, not necessarily D&D... free-form, but with some basic ground rules and such. I could also go for a Practical Magic/Charmed approach with magickal people living in modern times. We could also mix scifi and fantasy, for example our RPG could have a war between Klingons and Hobbits, lol! So, post your ideas here and we'll see what we want to call it and make one thread for the game and another for rules and characters and such.
I've never done rpg, but would be willing to try it out, might as well be a total nerd.
RP-ing is awesome! I usually RP as often as I can one-on-one live with a good friend of mine over MSN, but she's been so busy lately I thought I'd RP elsewhere and didn't see one on The Zone. So, hollywood, what type would you like? Medieval Fantasy like Lord of the Rings, a mix of fantasy and scifi, or a modern-times set RPG with some magick in it?
hmm, well you have me at a total disadvantage. I have no idea, sci-fi cross? perhaps.
That's one for medieval fantasy (me) and one for scifi/fantasy cross. Any other suggestions? Come on, I know we have a few RPers out there or at least some creative minds *cough* Tyr *cough*

Again, may I stress that this is the brainstorming topic, so Dragonfire, what's your idea? What kind of RPG do you want? People are not seeming to get that they can jump in and share their ideas so once we get enough players, we can all collaborate and think of something!

Oo oo I'll play. I consider myself to be a creative mind...well sort of...lol. I kind of like the modern times idea which a bit of a magic twist. But then again the medieval thing is great too. If i had to be decissive here I'd probably go with the modern stuff...maybe characters with different magic abilities. Hey...how about a futuristic type thing. Who knows...it's late and I can't think. I'll think on it but I love the idea.
Some people have liked the scifi cross idea, so maybe we could have a futuristic RPG where some of the humanoids have magickal abilities like the mages of medieval fantasy and there are also other scifi alien races where some use magick and some don't. I'm up for that and if everyone else who has read this thread is, I'll start thinking of a title (and you can give your input also) and my character.

I like the scifi cross idea, and what we cross it with is basically limitless. Now all I have to do is decide what character I wanna RP as. I have *lots* of characters I've created. Some for RPing, and some for stories I'm writing...
What? You mean you're not gonna play Scorpius, he rules! I think I'll make my character an Animagius, not sure what animal she'll turn into though, maybe a few.
I could play Scorpius, but I think I'd rather play a character of my own... or several. Hehe, I can play several characters, in fact I probably will end up doing some dialog between some of my characters, over comms and whatnot, but the majority of my stuff will always center around one character... I just don't know which one yet.
I didn't know Scorpius wasn't original! Well, I'd like more for a person to stick to one character, unless they have a familiar animal they talk to in thought or a squire or some type of assistant who isn't really important. BTW, got any suggestions for a title for the game? I haven't been able to think straight for awhile, so I haven't thought of one. If anyone else who's paying attention to this thread and has posted in here before thinks up a good idea for their character or a title for the whole game, feel free to post it here.
